New Procedures for Car Rider Drop Off and Pick Up Starting November 26

Construction will soon be starting at Greenville Elementary. Along with getting new windows, casings, and carpet in the classrooms, we will have a new health office, an addition to our cafeteria, and a new wing with 4 additional classrooms along with a Learning Lab. This will allow for our continued growth in the Greenville community.

Our #1 priority will be the safety through this process. You will soon notice fencing in the far parking lot near Door 19 to begin the cafeteria addition.

Starting Nov. 26, the Car Rider Door/YMCA Before Aftercare Entrance will be moved to Door 20.

We appreciate your patience during this year long project that will enhance the teaching and learning at Greenville.

Needing Volunteers for Family Fitness Fest

The PTO is needing a few parents to volunteer for the Family Fitness Fest.

On September 28, we will have our Family Fitness Fest.  This is a day where students and families  move from station to station and participate in activities that keep their bodies healthy!  In order to make this day run smoothly, we need a few parent volunteers. If your kiddo is participating in activities in the morning you could volunteer in the afternoon or vice versa, so you don’t miss out on time with your student!

Please click the link for  information on how you can help us out.

The Benefits of Getting Involved

Getting involved in the Greenville Elementary PTO is a great way to show your kids that you take an interest in their education. It also sends a positive message that you consider school a worthwhile cause.

Parent volunteers offer a huge resource and support base for the school community. They also show their kids the importance of participating in the larger community. Parent volunteers are essential to organizing and chaperoning our school’s fundraising events and other school activities.

Working with teachers, administrators, and other parents will help you understand your child’s daily activities. You’ll also tap into trends and fads of school life that can help you communicate with your kids as they grow and change — all without intruding on their privacy or personal space.

Even if you haven’t been involved in the past, it’s never too late to start. In fact, it may be more important than ever to get involved when kids reach secondary school.
